EPIDEMIUM: From roll-up to social media

Epidemium - Design by Barbara Govin

Together with graphic designer Barbara Govin we have worked for the project Epidemium – Challenge4Cancer . Our task was to express graphically the aim of the project and the milestones of the six-months challenge from November 2015 till May 2016.

Our production had to be modular and formatted to be spread on social media, to be printed out on roll-ups for the press conference, and to be used during the whole project on Power Point presentations to animate meetups and brainstorming sessions. Besides, they wanted as well o more innovative coverage of the press conference for social media, as for this Barbara made very nice sketches live.

BEFORE

At this end we produced one first infographics that was published on social media before the press conference as an unconventional press release.

DURING

For the press conference we produced an infographics that was printed out on roll-ups displayed during the event that helped the speakers explain the project’s main aim, as well as its milestones and timing. The following infographics was printed out on a roll up and used a support to explain to public what Epidemium is about.

Barbara was also live-sketching and her drawings were tweeted live and after the press conference they were put and a wall of the the main hall were there was a buffet.

AFTER

Epidemium is a participative six-months challenge with regular meetings, brainstorming sessions and public presentations. Our work has been used all along this process: the roll-up is still travelling from a meeting to another, the infographics has been re-assembled in PowerPoint presentations, and single drawings have been published on their website and wikipedia pages .
